IPO Fact-Finding Trip to China & Japan

IPO is pleased to announce its 12th fact-finding trip to China organized by IPO’s Asian Practice Committee.
This year, the trip will take place in Beijing, China and Tokyo, Japan. Registrants will have a unique opportunity to share experiences and perspectives with patent practitioners and the judiciary of China and Japan on intellectual property practice.

Flights
Attendees are responsible for making their own flight arrangement to and from China and Japan. However, IPO will provide bus transportation on Wednesday, Nov. 4. Bus will depart Grand Hyatt Beijing after the morning meetings to the Beijing Airport (PEK) and IPO will pick up attendees when they arrive in Toyo from the HND airport.
Attendees are recommended to take ANA Flight #962 departing PEK at 3:45pm and arriving at 8pm in HND in Tokyo in order to catch the bus.
VISA Invitation Letters
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) will be issuing VISA invitation letters to all attendees who register by September 18 for IPO’s Fact-Finding Trip to China. US citizens do not need a VISA for Japan. Please enter your information on your registration form if you require an invitation letter. Note: After Sept. 18, attendees will be responsible for obtaining their own VISA invitation letters. For convenience, attendees who have a company/firm branch located in China can request an invitation letter within their own company.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be in writing to Mike Ferrari (meetings@ipo.org). Cancellations received by Monday, October 5, 2015 will be subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received on or after October 5, 2015. These deadlines for cancellation apply to all registrants. If a registrant is unable to attend, another person may substitute upon written request. Please note that fees are not transferable to another IPO meeting.
IPO reserves the right to cancel this event without liability, and the total amount of any and all liability of the organizers will be limited to a refund of the registration fee. Any fees associated with cancellation of travel or housing reservations is the exclusive responsibility of conference attendees.
