Two novel innovation waves are heading our way, according to the Global Innovation Index 2022; a Digital Age Wave and a Deep Science Wave.

This workshop – organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) – considers the role of intellectual property (IP) in these future innovation waves with leading US IP practitioners and experts

On Wednesday, January 18th 2023, US industry leaders from Cargill, Dell, DuPont, Google, Hewlett Packard and Tenneco will be discussing:

  • What is the role of IP in unleashing the Digital Age and the Deep Science wave: “business as usual” or something novel?
  • What are the ramifications of these innovation waves on the use and impact of IP?
  • What relationship exists between innovation-related growth, IP, and global challenges?

Mr. Marco Aleman, Assistant Director General, WIPO, Ms. Kathi Vidal, Director, USPTO, and Mr. Krish Gupta, Vice President, IPO, have agreed to provide opening remarks.
