IPO PUBLISHES TOP 300 PATENT OWNERS LIST
Today IPO, in partnership with Harrity Analytics, published the 2025 Top 300 Patent Owners List for the 43rd consecutive year. The list reports the 300 companies that received the most U.S. utility patents in calendar year 2025, based on data obtained from the USPTO.
The Top 300 list combines patents granted to a parent company with those granted to the parent’s majority-owned subsidiaries. The total number of patents granted by the USPTO was 325,014, up 0 percent from 2024. The five companies with the most patents in 2025 are: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (7,526), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (4,233), Qualcomm (3,925), Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. (3,482), and Canon K.K. (2,988).
